Starting martial arts as an adult can feel like a big step, especially if it has been a while since you tried something new. At Westy 5280, beginners are expected. You do not need to be in peak shape, own a uniform, or know the first thing about a form before you walk through the door.
Our American Freestyle Taekwondo classes combine martial arts technique, movement, conditioning, forms, and respectful partner training. You can challenge yourself without trying to keep up with someone else's starting point. The belt path gives your training a direction, while each class gives you a practical chance to reset and focus.
Westy 5280 is a nonprofit martial arts academy at 9165 Lowell Blvd, Ste A in Westminster. We train Monday and Wednesday evenings and help new adults find the right level. Wear athletic clothes, bring water, and try a free first class with no obligation.
